Job Description: Responsible for assisting crew with tasks as required to perform underground service installation and repair projects i.e. hand digging, gathering and assembling material required to complete tasks at multiple locations, install or repair conduits, cables, pedestals, handholes, and digging equipment operation.  Not qualified for unsupervised energized work.    Minimum Requirements: 1 year minimum underground electric distribution service work experience required. Must be familiar with underground utility construction i.e. trenching, shoring, pipe laying, and cable pulling. Requires basic skills in math.  Must be able to fluently read, write, speak and comprehend English.  Must follow all safe work practices. If not certified, will be required to attend certification courses. May be required to work weekends, evenings and holidays. All employees are required to have a valid Driver License in good standing throughout their employment.   Preferred Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. State wide travel preferable. CDL preferred.   Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces. Must be able to move freely, including ability to stoop, crawl, and bend at the knees and waist. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted. May be required to work long and unpredictable hours and working outdoors in all types of weather.
