Following the acquisition of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia and Defence are looking to establish a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the potential procurement and sustainment activities. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS THAT SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

Must Have:

  • Certificate IV or above in Aeroskills – Mechanical or Avionics.
  • Eligibility under DASR 145 MOE for task sign-off
  • Qualified, experienced, and competent enough to be authorised to sign off maintenance work (in either avionics or mechanical disciplines) within the maintenance structure (DASR 145 MO).
  • Provide non-certifying support to tasks in a blended team of ADF and contractor personnel
  • Platform-specific safety training and system/component maintenance courses

Nice to Have (and recognised):

  • Prior helicopter or component maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASRs)
  • Understanding of Human Factors in Maintenance and PBED principles.

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.

Responsibilities

You’ll work alongside B1.3/B2 Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML) holders and be accountable for:

  • Performing Task Sign-off of maintenance tasks that you have personally performed within the scope.
  • Ensuring all safety-critical inspections (e.g. Error Capture) are not bypassed or compromised
  • Using only authorised data, tools, and equipment to maintain airworthiness
  • Monitoring for human factors that could impact task integrity – in yourself or others
  • Participating in and improving maintenance cycles through PBED (Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief)
  • Verifying follow-on maintenance needs and submitting necessary documentation
  • Maintaining tool control and cleanliness in line with AFCAMAN Book IV, Chapter 8
