Description Job Summary: The competency-based apprenticeship will measure the apprentice’s successful demonstration of acquired skills and knowledge, as verified by the program sponsor. Requirements include apprentices complete an on-the-job training component and complete a related technical instruction component as outlined within the approved Standards of the Apprenticeship. Viable candidates must be willing to work onsite at GSI's headquarters in Palm Harbor, Florida daily. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Develop competency with Geographic Solutions core systems and platforms Develop familiarity with the major Geographic Solutions product offerings Demonstrate familiarity and confidence in SCRUM practices Navigate company hierarchy and departmental functions Learn how to analyze business and user needs, document requirements and translate both into proper specifications for each project Work closely with the software architects and development teams to ensure that the direction, scope and dependencies are identified and documented Acquire knowledge of both project management and software development lifecycle (SDLC) of large-scale development projects Learn how to translate business requirements into concise system requirements for use by the software architects and development teams Foster communication between technical and non-technical audiences to ensure that technology solutions fulfill the business needs Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to demonstrate effective time management and reporting Ability to learn Geographic Solutions Control Panels – Creating and managing accounts, managing users, enabling services (including validation and onboarding) Understanding of Quality Methodology and process creation in an IT environment Qualifications / Certifications Minimum high school graduate; General Education Development (GED) Two-year college degree in information technology or business preferred Apprenticeship begins on April 27th, 2026.
