Role Summary:

The UI Designer is responsible for creating intuitive, consistent, and visually effective user interfaces. The role involves developing UI components, maintaining design consistency, collaborating with product and development teams, and applying industry-standard UI design practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop user-interface components for digital products and applications.
  • Ensure consistency in UI elements, layouts, colours, typography, and visual styles.
  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Apply UI design standards and best practices throughout the product-development process.
  • Review existing interfaces and identify opportunities for usability and visual improvements.
  • Maintain and update UI design systems, component libraries, and design documentation.
  • Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.
  • Ensure designs are responsive and suitable for different devices and screen sizes.
  • Support developers by providing accurate design specifications and visual assets.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in UI design, UX design, or digital product design.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating professional UI and digital-interface design work.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Good understanding of typography, colour theory, layouts, visual hierarchy, and responsive design.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to understand user requirements and translate them into effective interface designs.
  • Knowledge of design systems and UI/UX best practices is an advantage.
