The platform was founded in 2022 by Harvard alumnus Henry Motte-Muñoz and initially operated under Edukasyon.ph, the leading EdTech platform in the Philippines with over 10 million visitors.
In 2023, Edge Tutor spun out of Edukasyon.ph to focus entirely on its mission of offering an exceptional online tutoring service. The team at Edge Tutor comprises industry experts with decades of experience working with some of the world’s most prominent online tutoring companies, such as Education First, VIPKID, 51Talk, and AllRight. Moreover, the team members hold qualifications and training from distinguished institutions such as Cambridge University and Trinity College London.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a UI/UX consultant who will be collaborating closely with the Marketing team to enhance our user interface and user experience, ensuring our platform is user-friendly, visually appealing, and aligned with our mission of providing exceptional online tutoring services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct user research to understand user behavior and preferences.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement user-centric design solutions.
Gather and incorporate feedback from users to improve the user experience.
Ensure our digital products are accessible, responsive, and visually engaging.
Stay up-to-date with UI/UX trends and best practices.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:

Proven experience as a UI/UX consultant or specialist, with a strong portfolio.
Proficiency in UI/UX design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills to convey design concepts and rationale.
Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Familiarity with usability testing and user research methodologies.
