UX/UI Design Lead – Permanent, Reading

We're partnered with a global market leader in the manufacturing sector that is investing heavily in its digital transformation. As part of this journey, they're looking for a UX/UI Design Lead to shape the customer experience across a suite of global digital platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced design leader to own the design system, lead a talented UX/UI team, and collaborate with Product, Engineering and Marketing to deliver user-centred, commercially driven digital experiences.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience leading UX/UI design in a commercial environment
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design and business impact
• Experience managing and mentoring design teams
• Expert knowledge of Figma and design systems
• Strong understanding of user research and analytics-led design
• Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams in Agile environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with AI-powered design tools would be advantageous

What you'll be doing:

• Lead and develop the UX/UI Design team
• Own and evolve the organisation's digital design system
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive digital experiences
• Use user research and analytics to inform design decisions
• Facilitate workshops and present design solutions to senior stakeholders
• Create prototypes and oversee designs through to delivery
• Champion a customer-first approach while balancing commercial objectives and delivery timelines
