QUALIFICATIONS

• 2–3 years of experience in UI/UX design, particularly for web-based SaaS products.
• Prior experience working on technology solutions for or with government or municipal clients.
• Proficient with modern design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and working with design systems.
• Understanding of HTML/CSS and how designs translate into front-end code (you won’t code, but should speak the language).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centric design process and solutions for complex workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer with about 3 years of experience to join our fast-moving startup. You’ll help shape the look and feel of tools that cities use to make smarter decisions, working closely with our dev teams. If you love turning complex ideas into clean, user-friendly designs—and enjoy seeing your work make a real impact—we’d love to meet you. Experience with design systems, accessibility best practices, and a passion for public sector innovation are big pluses!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to design intuitive, scalable, and visually compelling user interfaces.
• Design end-to-end user experiences—from wireframes and prototypes to high-fidelity mockups—for new features and platform improvements.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and iterate based on feedback.
• Translate complex municipal workflows into user-friendly digital experiences that resonate with public sector users.
• Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure visual consistency and scalability.
• Advocate for user-centered design and contribute to the broader product vision.
