Our aim as Digital Empowerment is to empower all employees of the E.ON Group to acquire critical digital skills. Digital Empowerment operates in the space where people and technology meet by delivering relevant and engaging learning experiences in the areas of Data & AI, Automation and Personal Productivity to E.ON employees. By empowering our people, we support E.ON to make new energy work.
As UI/UX Designer(f/m/d) at Digital Empowerment you will be playing a key role in increasing employee consumption of learning products. Due to an 1,5-year maternity leave, we are looking for a temporary replacement as UI/UX Designer who thrives in a hands-on role, working closely with product teams to shape and refine learning experiences. This role comes with a strong focus on customer testing and designing & implementing standards to increase the quality of, and efficiency to, develop our learning experiences.

Your Role – meaningful & rewarding

  • Develop and maintain UX/UI standards to ensure consistency across Digital Empowerment products and platforms
  • Advise product teams on creating user-friendly interfaces and embedding content into the Learning Experience Platform (LXP)
  • Onboard and upskill your direct colleagues in applying UX/UI standards to strengthen design maturity
  • Support the further development of the design system
  • Collect UX requirements through qualitative and quantitative user research and define target audience needs (Personas)
  • Facilitate co-creation activities like design sprints, ideation sessions, and journey mapping
  • Manage prioritized design projects, including briefing, reviews, quality assurance, and stakeholder alignment

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded

  • Master’s degree in Digital Media, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Arts or related field
  • Required skills: service/product design, customer research (qual. + quant.), facilitation, stakeholder management, CX/design management, design strategy
  • Several years hands-on experience in using various UX research methods, preferably in an international matrix setting with internal employees as target group
  • Experience in complex organizations, being able to coordinate multiple requests, and working at different levels of detail
  • Hands on experience with (UI) Design Tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD for creating mockups and prototypes
  • Understanding, and preferably hands-on experience with, Visual Design and Graphic Design fundamentals (e.g. typography, color theory, composition and layout, iconography, etc.)
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and working in a product-centric organization is a plus
