Job Overview

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer / Engineer to design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for our software products. The role will involve understanding user workflows, translating product requirements into wireframes and prototypes, and working closely with software and technical teams to convert approved designs into functional applications.

The candidate should be comfortable using any modern wireframing or UI/UX design tool such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Framer, or equivalent platforms. Front-end development knowledge is highly desirable, as the candidate may also contribute to implementing approved designs.

Responsibilities

  • Understand product requirements and convert them into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Design intuitive and consistent user interfaces for web-based applications.
  • Use tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Framer, or other suitable design platforms for wireframing and prototyping.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, AI/ML, and other technical teams to understand system requirements and user workflows.
  • Conduct basic user research, gather feedback and incorporate usability feedback into subsequent design iterations.
  • Develop user journeys, navigation structures, and information architecture for software applications.
  • Develop and maintain basic design systems, including typography, spacing, layout standards, buttons, forms, and other reusable interface components.
  • Review implemented interfaces and identify inconsistencies or usability issues.
  • Participate in product testing and provide recommendations for improving the user experience.

Required Skills

  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs.
  • Understanding of basic UI/UX principles and user-centred design.
  • Ability to translate business or technical requirements into simple user workflows.
  • Familiarity with modern UI/UX design and prototyping tools.
  • Understanding of responsive web application design.
  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Portfolio demonstrating previous UI/UX, web application, or product design work.
  • Experience working with software development teams.
  • Front-end development experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience designing interfaces for technical, healthcare, AI, or data-driven applications would be an asset.
