UI/UX Developer with GDS

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

· Proven experience in UI/UX design for self-service platforms or similar digital products.
· Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch. Strong knowledge of responsive design principles and web/mobile best practices.
· Experience conducting user research and usability testing to drive design improvements.
· Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design principles.
· Ability to work in an Agile environment, delivering iterative design solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

· Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and gather stakeholder feedback effectively

• Familiarity with GDS Service Standards and the Digital Service Assessment process
• Work with clients to design and develop digital services that are user-friendly, accessible, and compliant with GDS standards. Lead the development of service blueprints, user journeys, and wireframes.
• Advise clients on the application of the GDS framework to their digital service delivery, ensuring alignment with government digital strategies and policies. Assist in the implementation of GDS principles, including Agile methodologies, user-centered design, and iterative development.

Pay: £360.00-£400.00 per day
