Changan UK National Sales Company is now established in Birmingham, sharing the Changan UK R&D centre managing Commercial, Technical and Training for the UK. Sales are beginning through a nationwide Dealer network in September 2025.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Content and Social Media specialist to join our dynamic team within the UK automotive industry. As a key player in launching and scaling our brand, you will collaborate closely with marketing, commercial, and creative teams to deliver high-impact paid media campaigns. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape our media strategy from the ground up and to influence how our vehicles are perceived across the UK market.
As a Marketing Content & Social Media Specialist, you will be instrumental in shaping Changan’s brand voice and digital presence within the UK automotive market. Your primary focus will be to collaborate with external marketing agencies to ensure the delivery of compelling, on-brand materials across a variety of platforms, including social media, web, email, and video. You will act as a strategic partner and coordinator, ensuring all produced content reflects Changan’s innovative spirit and connects effectively with target audiences. You will directly manage Changan UK social media channels, co-ordinating media strategies and public engagement.
While you will be firmly a part of the UK team, this is a blended role working closely with European colleagues on shared content.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop and oversee an integrated content strategy aligned with Changan’s business goals, product launches, and seasonal campaigns within the UK market.

  • Coordinate with marketing agencies to brief, guide, and evaluate the creation of high-quality social media, digital, and video content that appeals to the UK audience and advances Changan’s brand objectives.

  • Foster engagement within online communities by partnering with agencies to support brand advocacy initiatives and strengthen relationships with customers, influencers, and partners.

  • Monitor and analyse content performance via analytics tools, providing agencies with actionable feedback to refine strategies and enhance engagement and reach.

  • Collaborate with internal teams—including design, commercial, and product—to ensure content consistency and effective storytelling across all platforms.

  • Stay informed on automotive industry trends, digital best practices, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation, communicating these insights to agency partners.

  • Support paid and organic social campaigns by briefing agency teams, reviewing targeted copy and creative assets, and amplifying campaign visibility through strategic coordination.

  • Ensure all content adheres to Changan’s brand guidelines, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements within the UK market, working closely with agencies to maintain quality and consistency.

  • Provide regular reporting on campaign effectiveness, audience insights, and social listening results to senior leadership, and make strategic recommendations to agency partners for continuous improvement.
