Job Title: UKProduction Planner & Materials Purchaser

Summary The Production Planner & Materials Purchaser is required, as part of the Operations leadership team, to help ensure that all the manufacturing processes within Manufacturing are co-ordinated, controlled and working to their optimum level within the constraints of the Quality Management System established to ISO 13485 (current). This will be achieved by the development, configuration and optimisation of the flow of work within the facility through the creation, maintenance and promotion of the internal ERP system as well as the accurate maintenance and supply to point of use of all related raw materials.
Job Purpose To oversee and control all aspects of Production & Materials Planning so as to allow the company to meet customer demand in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Good basic education. No specific qualifications are required for this position although a familiarity with the company’s product and the use of computer software is an advantage. Full training will be given.

Responsibilities

· Creation and maintenance of a rolling weekly, and where required daily, master production schedule.
· Creation of weekly, and where required daily, production targets for various production areas.
· Conducting materials planning & stock control activities based on historical and projected demand.
· Projecting monthly revenue on a weekly basis, based on the best available information.
· Organising weekly sterilisation runs as required.
· Purchasing from multiple suppliers globally, raw material, ensuring correct stock levels are maintained at all times
· Creating Purchase Orders, Ordering finished goods from within the internal Group
· Ensuring customer pipeline is up to date and orders fulfilled in a timely manner
· Liaising daily with Production Managers.
· Chair weekly production schedule review & revenue forecast meetings.
· As part of the Operations team set, review, and maintain operational KPIs.
· As set by the Regulatory team, integrate regular product testing schedule into the master production schedule.
· Assist with the creation/maintenance of BOMs as required.
· Actively identify and drive through improvements to current practices.
· Investigate systematic problems and help develop solutions in conjunction with the Operations team and QA.
· Always promote best practice in terms of companywide, personal and work area cleanliness.
· Undertake any reasonable task required to help fulfil customer demand.
