As an IGXGlobal, an ePlus Technology, inc. Company Senior Engineer / Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting single or multi-vendor solutions. You will have the opportunity to work within an industry-leading account team to understand our clients’ needs and craft sustainable IT roadmaps to get them there.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong Security and Networking experience, on leading vendor technologies from Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto
  • Experience of deploying and supporting Palo Alto technologies including implementing and supporting Hardware based Firewalls, VM Series and Panorama
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of solutions based on Cisco’s core Security portfolio
  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of networking technologies from Cisco and Juniper and protocols such as IPv4/v6, BGP, OSPF, VLANS, QoS, Multicast.
  • Scripting and automation experience – Ansible, Python
  • Excellent customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone/video conference
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Highly skilled in accurately capturing customer technical requirements
  • Expertise in troubleshooting complex solutions
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective time management abilities
  • Quick thinker with the ability to devise solutions promptly
  • Fast learner of new technologies
  • Self-motivated and proactive

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS – TWO OR MORE FROM THE FOLLOWING LIST:

  • Service Provider experience, e.g. MPLS/VPLS, EVPN, BNG and Service Provider technology from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper and Nokia e.g. Juniper MX, PTX, Cisco ASR, Nokia SR-7
  • End point security solutions EDR, MDR, Management & Implementation, e.g. CrowdStrike, Sentinel 1
  • Security logging and SIEM, e.g. Splunk
  • Cloud experience – AWS & Azure
  • Wifi experience, e.g. Juniper MIST
  • Collaboration experience, e.g. Cisco Collab, Webex
  • Hyperconvergence experience, e.g. Nutanix
  • Storage experience, e.g. Pure

CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in IT
  • 5+ years of experience in an Engineering, Snr Engineering or Consultant level role
  • Palo Alto PCNSE certified
  • Juniper JNCIP certified or higher
  • Multiple industry-recognized Certifications from leading vendors e.g. Cisco CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, Palo Alto PSE, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE-4

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Network and Security solutions that accurately reflect the customer stated objectives
  • Lead technical workshops to capture customer technical requirements and produce HLD and LLD documentation
  • Deliver Proof-of-Concepts (POC) to support the sales process and/or the design process
  • Work with the Project Management team and act as the technical lead on projects
  • Assess Customer environments and make recommendations on solutions and improvement
  • Assist in creating and/or responding to Bill-of-Materials (BOM) and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Provide technical support to end customers
  • Reproduce customer technical issues, and test features and functionality in a lab environment
  • Escalate issues to other team members and subject matter experts, as necessary
  • Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies
  • Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific certifications e.g. CCNP, PCNSE, JNCIP
  • Travel to customer locations to attend meetings and complete engineering tasks
  • Serve each and every customer to ePlus’ standards
  • Handle confidential matters and information professionally
  • Conduct business in a professional, competent and ethical manner
