DESCRIPTION

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven Spot Sales Negotiator within the UK’s largest independent oil company.
The objective of this role is to negotiate and sell spot volume to existing and new customers, ensuring product is available from initiation to fulfilment. Our goal as a department is to ensure day to day operations are managed in an efficient way and maintain a high standard of service to meet customer expectations.
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate to a high standard and have an excellent telephone manner. This person must be confident, articulate and have an exceptional eye for detail. In house training will be provided for all aspects of this role, so a willingness to learn is essential.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Experienced and confident in call handling
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Experience working in the fuel industry

Responsibilities
  • Providing real-time fuel quotations to customers by telephone, email or through our online platform.
  • Processing orders through our pricing platform and terminal systems and sending order confirmation emails promptly.
  • Ensuring daily sales volume is hedged and documented.
  • Completing daily compliance checks to ensure sales volume is lifted in full.
  • Regular communication with customers to understand regional demands and market trends.
  • Monitoring sales volumes against daily, weekly and monthly forecasts.
  • Cold calling new and existing customers to grow volume within predefined parameters.
  • Managing customer credit limits against sales.
  • Handling and resolving internal and external queries.
  • Compiling KPI data for internal and external reporting in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Regular communication with internal teams – Commercial Accounts, Traders, Operators, Customer Care, Invoicing, Credit Control.

General:

  • Administrative support for the wider Commercial department.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as requested.
  • Role model the Greenergy values.
