Description

A high technology company from Grenoble, BioLogic designs, manufactures and supplies precision instruments for electrochemistry and energy storage to research laboratories and blue-chip industrial companies around the world.
BioLogic is a medium sized French company (180 employees in France) with an international reach. We have a sharp growth internationally (6 offices across the world and a wide distribution network) with 90% of our business in foreign markets.
The BioLogic UK team works mostly from home, but meet often at our Glossop office/lab.

MISSION

To replace Andy, who’s retiring (congrats!), we are looking for a Northern-England-based Senior Sales Engineer.

Reporting to the sales manager Jean-Michel PICHONAT, your key roles and responsibilities are to :

  • Strengthen sales effort for the region by working in coordination with the sales manager and head office
  • Secure existing customers by organizing and driving weekly visits & regular calls
  • Engage in calling and visits to potential customers to identify business opportunities
  • Develop interest of customers in our equipment, identify business opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Maintain customer/prospect database and activity details
  • Assure a beneficial conference “presence” by prospecting, submit and attend to well selected conferences
  • Communicate effectively with customers and build strong relationships with them
  • Liaise with local vendors as required to deliver local accessories
  • Prepare and submit reports on customer facing activities to the management in prescribed formats
  • Perform and document the installation and operational qualifications of all new instruments
  • Work in coordination with the team and actively participate in team meetings
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience | Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience Institutional sales and service, Industries, R&D Centres
  • Proficiency | in the area of analytical instruments, preferably related to electrochemistry and battery testing
  • Education | B.E / B.Tech. in Electrical or Electronics; MSc. Chemistry, Physics, Electronics; Any specialization in Electrochemistry
  • Language | Fluency in English ; some knowledge in French can be a plus !
  • Travel | up to 60%
