THE TEAM AND THE OPPORTUNITY

At EY, we are expanding our Microsoft Services and Cloud Group and specifically building our Technology Consulting practice. Due to this expansion, we are seeking to recruit high achieving Cloud Engineers to be part of our growing business.
We are recruiting Cloud Engineers primarily at Manager level. We are seeking individuals with significant client-side experience or individuals who have gained project and technology delivery experience within large, recognised organisations. We have extensive team growth plans in place with significant opportunities for candidates with drive and ambition to progress their career at pace.
You will play a key role in supporting the development and strengthening existing client relationships, who are leaders in their respective industry sector, Help navigate the complex issues facing their business. Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain compliance and security standards within cloud environments by applying best practices in access controls, encryption and audit logging
  • Manage cloud infrastructure by provisioning, monitoring, scaling and performance tuning to ensure high availability and reliability
  • Colloborate with cross functional teams integrating cloud services
  • Participate in presentations and proposals for medium complex projects or elements of highly complex projects
  • Providing recommendations to clients for improvements and innovation within existing systems
  • Maintain clear and consistent documentation of operational processes to support team colloboration and ongoing reference
  • Understand all our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients
  • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring more junior members of staff
  • Be responsible for your own self-development, and maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, or relevant experience related to this position
  • 3 - 5 years previous Cloud Engineering experience in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining Cloud Systems like Azure, AWS and Google Cloud Platform. Industry recognised cloud certifications in those mentioned platforms is beneficial
  • Leverage prior experience in client-facing consulting roles to deliver strategic solutions, build trusted relationships, and manage diverse client portfolios across multiple industries
  • Hands-on experience in working with Agile methods for software delivery e.g. Scrum, SAFE, Kanban, Lean, TDD and CI/CD
  • A good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code languages like Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Powershell, Python or similar
  • Apply deep knowledge of IT Networking principles, including; routing, switching, firewalls, and network protocols to design, implement and support secure scalable cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Experience with implementing code quality analysis, vulnerability scan and compliance validation
  • Experience in Linux / Windows Administration with scripting capability in one or more languages – Python, Bash, PowerShell and Groovy
  • Experience of deployment and configuration of DevOps pipelines, code repositories, and automated testing
  • Experience with application load balancing solutions for scaling and HA
