Your Impact As a UL Engineer, you will own UL compliance across our power distribution products, ensuring everything we design and build meets the highest safety and certification standards. You will be the internal authority on UL, helping us scale product innovation without creating compliance risk. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities * Serve as the internal expert on UL 891 (Dead-Front Switchboards) and UL 508A (Industrial Control Panels) * Own and maintain UL certification files, documentation, and compliance records across all power products * Manage UL follow-up services, including preparing for and coordinating inspections * Review and approve electrical schematics, panel layouts, and product designs for UL compliance * Partner with engineering to embed UL requirements into product development and design reviews * Provide guidance on component selection, SCCR, labeling, wiring methods, and protection coordination * Support product testing and validation to ensure compliance prior to release * Work with manufacturing to ensure UL-compliant production practices and standard work * Build and maintain UL work instructions, procedures, and compliance checklists * Support root cause analysis and corrective actions tied to compliance findings * Train engineers and production teams on UL standards and best practices * Support internal and external audits related to electrical safety and compliance Qualifications * 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in power distribution, switchgear, or control panels * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field * Strong working knowledge of UL 891 and UL 508A standards * Experience managing UL-certified panel shops or working closely with UL inspectors * Deep understanding of SCCR, electrical protection and coordination, and industrial control panel design * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate standards into practical execution Nice to Have * UL 508A Certified Panel Shop Professional (or equivalent experience) * Experience with data center power infrastructure or modular power systems * Background in manufacturing or panel shop environments * Familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 79 * Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward certification * Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Toyota Production System concepts * Experience leading frontline leaders or training production teams * Comfort operating in high-growth, fast-moving environments Benefits * Competitive salary and performance bonus * Paid time off * 401(k) retirement plan with company match * Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance * Collaborative, high-energy workplace Our Core Values * Safety - We proactively protect our people and environment * Inclusion - We respect and appreciate diverse perspectives and backgrounds * Speed - We move fast, act decisively, and stay agile * Innovation - We challenge assumptions and simplify processes * Judgment - We make sound decisions with the business in mind * Accountability - We take ownership and deliver results
