Requirements What to expect as a Registered U/S Tech: Work in a teamwork environment. Work a set schedule and be a part of rotating ultrasound call with the other five sonographers. Be able to deliver personal, compassionate care and have excellent customer service skills. Demonstrate good knowledge of principle and practice of ultrasound procedures and techniques. Acknowledge the various steps of ultrasound workflow process and provide detailed ultrasound imaging for the radiologist and cardiologist interpretation. Qualifications: High School Graduate/Equivalent. Graduate from an approved ultrasound program with RDCS required. ARDMS, Abdomen, OB/GYN, RVT desired, but not required. Ability to perform all cardiac ultrasound procedures for the on-staff Cardiologist to interpret. Ability to work with in the PACS software to create the cardiac ultrasound prelim report. Ability to work closely with the Cardiologist and CHM - Community Health Management staff performing cardiac stress tests. 1-2 years in a hospital or clinic setting.
