The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital is a two-site acute care facility dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of approximately 44,000 residents in Perth, Smiths Falls, and the surrounding areas. As a fully accredited hospital, we pride ourselves on delivering a comprehensive range of primary and secondary healthcare services.
We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our dedicated team at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services that support patient care and treatment plans.

QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/MUST HAVE:

· Current Registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of computers
· Successful completion of a recognized program in diagnostic medical ultrasound OR on the job training with a minimum of three (3) years full time clinical experience in abdominal scanning, preferably in an accredited teaching center.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· 1-year experience in similar setting
· Ability to work alone if radiologist not present

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $36.85-$51.75 per hour
Expected hours: 22.50 – 37.50 per week

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic and/or therapeutic ultrasound procedures within the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, working within scope of practice and maintaining patient confidentiality.
