Description

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a casual Ultrasound Tech for our Ultrasound Department. The Ultrasound Tech, under the direction of the physician or authorized designee and with clinical supervision from the physician, the primary purpose is to perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative, in the performance of diagnostic ultrasound studies. Qualifications EDUCATION: Bachelor degree preferred. Graduate of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. Holder of a valid and current: Registration by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in OB/GYN. Certification required. EXPERIENCE: Two years OB/GYN experience as Diagnostic Medical Sonographer desired. SKILLS: Ability to use a variety of ultrasound producing detection, recording devices and mechanical accessories. Ability to use computers. BCLS required.

Responsibilities

The Ultrasound Tech performs a variety of technical procedures under the direction of a physician. This role requires independent judgment and initiative in conducting diagnostic ultrasound studies.
