In addition to your base compensation, this position also offers:   * Financial & Career Growth: Higher education and certification tuition assistance, loan assistance and 401(k) retirement package and company match.  * Employee Well-being: Mental, physical, and financial wellness programs (free gym memberships, virtual care appointments, mental health services and discount programs).  * Professional Development: Ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities.    Position Summary:   Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures.   * Performs sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician.  * Provides age-appropriate care to patients across the lifespan.  * Maintains supplies and ensures a clean, orderly work area; notifies supervisor of needed items.  * Maintains and calibrates equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity.  * Acts as a consultant and educational resource for physicians and staff regarding appropriateness and accuracy of scans.  * Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.  * Maintains regular and reliable attendance.  * Performs other duties as assigned.    What we are looking for:   * Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology required.  * One year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred.  * Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification  *  BLS required within 30 days of hire.  * Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days after hire date.  * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.   * Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.  * Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.    EOC Statement:  Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is committed to providing Equal Employment Opportunities for all applicants and employees and complies with all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment because of color, race, sex, age, religion, national origin, disability, genetic information, gender identity, sexual orientation, veterans' status or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.  Lifepoint Health is a leader in community-based care and driven by a mission of Making Communities Healthier.
