Ultrasound guidance biopsies of the breast and thyroid, paracentesis, thoracentesis/gynecological procedures and vascular ultrasound.  How you’ll contribute   An Ultrasound Technician, PRN who excels in this role:  * Positions, transfers and properly immobilizes patients as required. * Performs diagnostic abdominal and pelvic ultrasound studies. * Performs diagnostic vascular (carotid and extremity venous) ultrasound studies. * Performs diagnostic obstetric ultrasound studies. * Maintains records and statistics of ultrasound studies. * Maintains professional skills and provides age-specific needs to patients of all ages (neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). * Follows safety procedures and guidelines and reports unsafe practices and conditions. * Assists physician during invasive ultrasonographic procedures. * Participates in peer competencies. * Provides On Call coverage as needed. Additional requirements include: * Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification. * BLS within 30 days of hire is required.
