Sets up, adjusts and operates medical equipment and instruments. Performs testing ordered by patient’s physician. Addresses age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, school age, adolescents, adults, older adults. Performs ultrasound procedures and follows exam protocols. Utilizes and maintains equipment in expert manner. Performs administrative and other tasks as requested. Other duties may be assigned. Associate's degree (A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or certificate program. Abdom/OB, or Echo RDMS, or eligible for registration, required. Current BLS.
Responsibilities
The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures and follows exam protocols while addressing the age-specific needs of patients. They set up, adjust, and operate medical equipment, document according to guidelines, and perform administrative tasks as requested.
