This role requires independent judgment, technical skill, and a commitment to patient care while upholding Star Valley Health’s mission and values, to provide compassionate care to every person, every time. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, including Doppler vascular and abdominal studies Assist physicians with biopsies and invasive ultrasound procedures Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; calibrate and clean instruments Evaluate image quality and process images per protocol Maintain accurate records and compile data as required Provide guidance to students and new staff Comply with HIPAA and all federal, state, and local regulations Requirements Qualifications Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program Registered or registry-eligible with ARDMS Current BLS certification (or obtain within 3 months of hire) Additional certifications (vascular, cardiac echo) preferred Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and maintain confidentiality Note: Position descriptions are intended to serve as a guideline for typical duties and requirements of a position, but are not inclusive.
