At Physicians' Clinic of Iowa, we are focused on delivering quality patient care. Our Imaging Department is currently seeking a full time Sonographer - Ultrasound Technologist to deliver care that is second to none in our high volume-fast paced practice.   Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to:  * Performs quality diagnostic ultrasound exams for patients as ordered by their provider. * Transmit electronic ultrasound orders from EMR. * Ensures all equipment is maintained and serviced according to vendor and compliance guidelines. * Responsible for contributing and maintaining the PCI Ultrasound Service center processes (exam protocols, program accreditation, patient education, etc.) * Export images to interpreting radiologist office. * Utilization of EMR/HIS/RIS/PACS programs. * General knowledge in insurance and pre-authorization programs. * Early and late shift flexibility for patient care coverage required. * Participate in additional department and corporate initiatives and projects. * Assist in other areas of the department such as front office, patient prep of high modality exams or special procedures.  The leading candidate will demonstrate behaviors reflective of PCI’s culture including, demonstrating a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care, collaborating effectively with team members, and maintaining a high standard of reliability and professionalism. Excellent communication skills are essential. Candidates must be or become proficient in the use of computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR). Candidate must be knowledgeable in applying skills and adhere to safety regulations. Qualified applicants are required to have an ARDMS license with Abdomen certification with two years of experience. Musculoskeletal experience preferred but not required.
