Description

Overton Security is currently hiring for a Unarmed Flex Security Officer for the Dallas Area. All candidates for this posting should be able to perform a foot patrol for the duration of their shift. This is NOT an entry level position.
Candidates for this position must have a minimum of 2 years previous licensed security experience.
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr paid weekly
Schedule: No Set schedule - Flex Officers will act as fill in’s for call offs and open shifts.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years previous licensed security experience
  • Open Availability Preferred
  • Must be able to perform a foot patrol for the duration of their shift.

As an Overton Professional Security Officer you will be a part of a results oriented team responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all our serviced properties. It is expected that you will demonstrate behavior consistent with Overton Security core value of serving, protecting and caring.

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS FOR SECURITY OFFICER POSITIONS MUST MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AS DESCRIBED BELOW:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Have a current Level II Non Commissioned (Unarmed) Guard Card. This will be confirmed through TOPS.
  • Have excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Be computer savvy and have the ability to utilize innovative, wireless technology
  • Have flexible and weekend availability
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
  • Must have a neat and professional appearance
Responsibilities
  • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
  • Monitor entrance of vehicles or people in the property
  • Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
  • Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
  • Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
  • Provide assistance to people in need
  • Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
  • Understand when to contact SOC, PD, client or management
  • Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees when arriving or leaving
