MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a California Guard Card prior to hire.
  • Preferred: Baton Permit, Chemical Agent Permit, TASER Certification (Optional), must acquire within (3) months of employment.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet all California security licensing requirements for Armed Security Officers.
  • One (1) year of security experience, or former military (with Honorable Discharge), or former Law Enforcement.
  • Working knowledge of basic security techniques.
  • Availability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.
  • Neat and professional appearance, in accordance with established company standards.
  • Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to wear issued uniform.
  • No Misdemeanor or Felony Convictions.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Ability to pass background check.

REQUIRED TRAINING AND EDUCATION

  • Guard Card Certificate of Training
  • Certificate of Training, (32) hours of Security Skills Training, in accordance with AB 2880.
  • Certificate of Training, (8) of Continuing Education, ongoing training
Responsibilities
  • Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas.
  • Patrol designated areas in accordance with established security procedures.
  • Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
  • Complete Incident Reports and required documentation for all security incidents.
  • Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all personnel, visitors and post.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy.
  • Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have.
  • Escalate emergency situations to Law Enforcement as necessary.
  • Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures
