Responsibilities

This position exists to provide clerical support to the facility Release Planning Coordinator, who is responsible for coordinating the release of residents into the community at the completion of their sentences or as determined by the Prisoner Review Board. This position is tasked with ensuring that all information seamlessly flows from the facility to various parole offices for plan investigation and supervision coordination and is responsible for communicating with the Kansas Interstate Compact Office to coordinate interstate compact parole and releases. The ultimate goal of the facility Release Planning office is to reintegrate the residents back into the public as safely and successfully as possible with the support of this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Six months of experience in general office, clerical or administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Selection Process: Applicants selected for interview will be evaluated by an interview panel using performance/behavior-based interview questions. The interview panel will make recommendations to the Warden for final approval. A second interview may be conducted. Applicants will be subject to background check and criminal history investigation; must pass a drug screen and a TB test unless promoting, transferring, or demoting from another safety sensitive position within the same agency; and possess a valid Driver’s License.
