    Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Undergraduate Accountant to join our operation in Burnie.
    We are currently seeking a motivated Finance Undergraduate (Accountant) to join our team on a fixed-term, part-time contract (2 years) as part of our Finance Undergraduate Development Program.
    While this position is offered on a part-time fixed term basis, there may be potential for it to evolve into a longer-term opportunity depending on individual performance and future business needs.

WHO WE ARE

We’re Grange Resources, Australia’s oldest and most experienced magnetite producer - combining both mining and pellet production expertise. Based in northwest Tasmania, we own and operate Australia’s largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business.
Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with accounts payable and receivable processing
  • Supporting month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Financial Accounting – learn about compliance and other accounting practices performed for an ASX listed company
  • Accounts Payable - learn about business-to-business transactions processing
  • Operational Accounting - exposure to cost accounting and business analysis, interact with our operations teams
  • Purchasing and Supply Chain – learn about purchasing and sourcing activities and inventory management
  • Sales and Shipping – dealing with international transactions, including shipping function

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Currently studying an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
  • Available to commit to a part-time schedule over a 2-year period
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
  • A positive approach to your work and your work environmen
