JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for managing the daily undergraduate admissions operation activities and business processes for a designated population. This includes serving as an admissions specialist responsible for representing the University and for gathering facts regarding applicants, analyzing credentials and students’ academic potential, reaching logical conclusions regarding admissibility, and records/database management. Given the nature of the positions in Student Engagement and Enrollment Services that provide support to student services and/or student-centered programs, the employee occupying this position may be required to work during a university closing. There may be occasions where the employee will be asked to work during university closings as directed by his or her supervisor. These instances may include working from a remote location (i.e. telework, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of effective customer service and problem-solving techniques. Working knowledge of PC-related software to include Microsoft Office Suite. Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with the public, as well as interpret, explain, and apply a variety of policies, regulations, and standards.Additional Considerations:
