About the Role Mater Private Hospital Mackay are looking for Undergraduate Students in Nursing (USiN) to join the team on a casual basis.  The Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and its surrounds since 1927. Our hospital is a modern 105-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.  Salary range: $35.77 - $36.25 per hour plus 25% Casual Loading plus superannuation [https://www.ato.gov.au/tax-rates-and-codes/key-superannuation-rates-and-thresholds/super-guarantee] and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 [https://account.smartsalary.com.au/benefits-available?ercode=MML]  + access to many staff benefits!  [https://www.mater.org.au/group/careers/working-with-mater]  What you’ll be doing  In this role, work is conducted under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with patient care as delegated by the RN. A consistently high level of clinical care is delivered, demonstrating sound clinical knowledge and collaborating with the registered nurse to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient-centred care. The position offers exposure to a variety of tasks and involves close cooperation with nursing colleagues and the wider healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient-centred outcomes. Responsibilities align with the knowledge and competency requirements established by university studies  About you  You will be an undergraduate student in nursing having completed 1st semester of 2nd year (full time equivalent).  Documented evidence of completion is mandatory.  * Demonstrate flexibility to perform in a variety of clinical areas, adaptability to integrate into different teams and work under different Nurse Unit Managers  * Availability to complete shifts at short notice  * Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development  * Demonstrate ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team  * Demonstrate basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems  * Previous experience in nursing eg.
