About BHP Potash – Jansen The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon. BHP’s CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles. Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for late 2026. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. Work Location This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. About the Role Assembly of boring machines and auxiliary equipment in shop Performing preventative maintenance inspections on mining equipment including drum miners and belt conveyors Maintaining mobile equipment such as scooptrams, mancarriers and other underground support equipment Troubleshooting and repairing unplanned failures on mechanical equipment Performing daily lubrication routes and supporting lubrication best practices Follow site safety procedures and standards Coach and support apprentices and new to industry employees Complete work orders with appropriate documentation to support work management process Perform field leadership activities as directed Support BOS principles including 5S and identifying areas of improvement About You Journeyperson certificate in a Mechanical trade such as Millwright, Heavy Duty Mechanic, Truck and Transport, Ag Mechanics, Welding, Machinist or similar Must be willing and able to work in an underground mining environment Potash experience is an asset Familiarity with work management is an asset Positive attitude Application Deadline This posting will be active until 11:59pm CST on November 30, 2025.
