OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Foremanto lead and manage our underground utilities construction projects. In this role, you’ll oversee the installation and maintenance of utility lines, including power, gas , and Telecom Systems. As the Foreman, you will be responsible for coordinating a team of workers, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and making sure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. If you’re a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and a passion for managing complex infrastructure projects, we want you on our team!
Wage is aligned and determined with experience, up to $45/hour.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Underground Utility and Earthworks construction experience are required.
  • High attention to detail is required.
  • Pay to be determined by skill and experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, OH & S Legislation, and WCB reporting procedures.
  • Understand and maintain quality and production standards and work to achieve established production goals.
  • Physically able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as required in the construction environment.
  • Must have your own transportation.
  • Must have own steel-toes safety boots.
  • Seasonal, full-time, and weekends

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to understand project requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities on construction sites, including excavation, grading, compaction, and erosion control, to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate the allocation of labor, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity, minimize downtime, and achieve project milestones within budgetary constraints.
  • Provide guidance, instruction, and support to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to established procedures.
  • Enforce all safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on-site, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Monitor work progress and quality standards, conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure that workmanship meets or exceeds project requirements.
  • Utilize construction management software, includingB2W and Bluebeam, for project tracking and documentation.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Train and mentor team members in best practices for construction techniques and safety protocols.
  • Prepare reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions for management.
