  • Worksite Location: Yardley, PA (hybrid)
  • Compensation: $130,000 annually

What you’ll do as an Underwriter Lead:

  • Evaluate new and renewal business in accordance with established underwriting guidelines to achieve goals of profit, rate and growth
  • Manage preparation of program renewal specifications and distribution to markets
  • Participate in all appropriate committees as recognized in managed programs
  • Work with program’s insurance/reinsurance markets to formalize and implement annual business plan
  • Manage renewal expiration lists and create timelines for renewals
  • Review policies and endorsements to identify errors or omissions to ensure agreement with binding order
  • Order necessary reports such as credit, location, motor vehicle, and/or inspection reports, as well as building cost estimates
  • Analyze inspection reports to accept or reject new business
  • Coordinate the preparation of policy delivery with all related documents
  • Issue policies and endorsements; binds coverage and coordinates binders/evidence
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of management reports

What you need to become an Underwriter Lead:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of related work experience with habitational property
  • Knowledge of insurance industry and prior supervisory experience
  • Valid Insurance License and ability to meet requirements for license renewal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
  • Good problem solving and time management skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
