Responsibilities
  • Ownership of the Senior Underwriting inboxes and workflow. Ensuring work is completed in regulatory and business led timeframes and service level agreements and within delegated authority from insurers.
  • Assisting with other areas of work within the teams day to day work where required.
  • Support the junior members of the team with training, coaching, guidance, audits (where required) and other Team Leader responsibilities in their absence.
  • Support the business with any project work that requires Underwriting input. Including helping with requirements, project meetings and testing where required.
  • Support the Senior Underwriter and rest of the business with extending authorities to other teams to effect efficiencies for the business and our customers.
  • Support the Senior Underwriter with the monitoring of work coming into the team, both into the Senior team and the Junior team members. Assist to track this and pro-actively make suggestions and implement efficiencies.
  • Work positively with insurers, with particular focus on capturing and feeding back areas of improving delegated authority within the business.
  • Raise and manage breaches and collaborate with other business areas to come to a solution
