In this role, you’ll be responsible for underwriting new business and renewals of varying complexity and volume, operating within established underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and service standards. Reporting to the Underwriting Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with a team of underwriters, providing guidance, sharing expertise, and mentoring team members. You’ll also play a key role in building and maintaining strong broker relationships, applying your technical knowledge to support business outcomes, and staying up to date with industry developments and new product offerings. Your new role A day in the role may look a bit like this: Actively manage your renewal and new business portfolio, maintaining strong relationships with brokers and colleagues to support retention, growth, and profitability. Ensure compliance with all underwriting standards, procedures, and processes through consistent monitoring and review. Provide timely, professional service and effective solutions to both customers and intermediaries. Continuously develop your knowledge of legislation, best practices, underwriting, systems, products, and organisational guidelines. Collaborate effectively with Underwriters and contribute to a supportive team environment. Promote a positive and productive workplace culture through respectful and proactive engagement. About you To be successful in this role you will have a proven background in the insurance industry and strong Underwriting experience.
