Overview
As part of continued expansion, we have a new opportunity within a lean and dynamic underwriting team based on the beautiful island of Bermuda. This role supports a global portfolio, with significant exposure to the US market, across general liability, cyber, and other specialty lines.
We’re seeking a professional with a strong analytical and actuarial/underwriting foundation. While treaty experience is ideal, we also welcome candidates from direct underwriting backgrounds—particularly those who’ve transitioned from pricing or actuarial roles and can bring a data-driven mindset to portfolio management.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Maths or Applied Science Degree: Along with relevant experience as an Actuary or Underwriter.
• Solid experience in treaty or direct underwriting, with exposure to pricing or actuarial disciplines
• Familiarity with general liability, cyber, and other relevant specialty classes
• Proven ability to work independently within a lean, results-driven team
• Comfortable transitioning quickly into a new role and adapting to a fast-paced environment
• Willing and able to relocate for a 2+ year contract commitment and also to travel frequently, including regular visits to London—this is a core part of the role. The employer appreciates that current notice periods can sometimes be lengthy and will find a solution for the successful candidates.
