This role plays a key part in underwriting new business and renewals within delegated authority, while delivering profitable growth and strong technical outcomes. You’ll work closely with brokers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders to provide high-quality underwriting service, technical support, and market-led solutions. Your new role In this role, you will: Underwrite new business and renewals in line with authority levels, guidelines, and appetite Actively manage a Workers Compensation portfolio to achieve growth, retention, and profitability targets Monitor and comply with underwriting standards, processes, and legislative requirements Deliver timely, well-reasoned underwriting decisions and solutions Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and business partners Provide technical support and collaborate with Assistant Underwriters Contribute to underwriting service delivery, process improvement, and innovation Foster a positive, collaborative team environment About you You’ll bring: Experience in underwriting, ideally within Workers Compensation or casualty lines Background in insurance sales and/or the broader insurance industry Strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and portfolio management Ability to build trusted relationships with brokers and stakeholders Sound decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills Benefits We offer a range of benefits to help provide holistic support for your work life, whatever your circumstances.
