About the Role
We are looking for a candidate who will support the Property and Casualty Underwriting team in the handling of insurance business for our corporate customers and their brokers in the Italian market. You will be joining the local Italian team based in Milan, having a variety of proficiencies, skills and experience, all committed to bring success to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. In the role of Underwriting Analyst, you will work closely with the local Underwriters, the EMEA Operations teams in centralized and offshore locations as well as your peers in other EMEA locations.

Responsibilities
  • Enter and maintain information in systems and tools, including documents, process changes and associated open/completed tasks
  • Prepare international program structure in collaboration with the underwriters
  • Review, check and collect insurance and legal documentation and reflect corresponding terms and conditions into systems
  • -up on outstanding documents or items, per guidelines
  • Regularly interaction with external customers (brokers/insureds)
  • Prepare policies, certificates and all other contractual documentation
  • Collaborate on the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures, system and tool improvements, and testing/ piloting changes
  • High level of interaction and coordination with team members
  • Perform assigned rule-based tasks following standard operating procedures

About You

  • Bachelor’ s Degree/Master ‘s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant corporate insurance experience required, preferably in the Property and/or Casualty Line of Business
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Italian and English
  • Ability to easily interpret the terms and conditions of the insurance legal document
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people multi-cultural environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to identify and report problems or errors while working with significant amounts of detailed information
  • Ability to deliver timely and accurate business processing also during peak times

For Italy, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 42,000 and EUR 70,000 for a full-time role.
