Overview:
This Underwriter Assistant specifically works with national payroll agencies and digital partners and is within a quickly growing division of the AmTrust with opportunities for advancement. Emphasis is on providing excellent customer service which consists of friendly and prompt responses to agent emails, calls, and quick problem resolution. Underwriting assistants work directly with the agent providing documents, binding policies and processing endorsements.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives, responds and re-directs inquiries from producers and home office personnel, verbally or in writing, as required.
  • Secures underwriting information as requested in order to respond to bureau crits or SIU investigations.
  • Prepares general business letters, emails, correspondence, and miscellaneous forms including Excel worksheets.
  • Processes endorsements, cancellations, broker of record changes, and general policy changes.
  • Assists in training co-workers and agents as needed or requested by management
  • Bind new business and work to support both new business and renewal underwriters.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities or assists with any special projects as assigned.
  • Hybrid office/remote model available

Qualifications:

  • Perform multi-tasks under pressure and high volume of daily transactions
  • Analyzes and processes diverse information
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior work experience in an office environment
