ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our Prestige team for an 18 month opportunity. This temporary position is hybrid role requiring a minimum of two (2) days per week in our Vancouver office

WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE:

• Process insurance policy new business, set up quotes, renewals, endorsements and cancellations.
• Apply standard terms and pricing in accordance with Intact practices.
• Input policy information into the system, search for information relevant to the underwriting function and provide certificates of insurance to brokers as per established guidelines.
• Review select underwriting reports and establish required action based on authority level.
• Retrieve information relevant to the underwriting function either by pulling files or checking policy history and financial strength through appropriate channels.
• Answer straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly and courteously.
