  • Proficiency in office systems and software, especially Excel using pivot tables and formula’s to manage data efficiently and perform complex calculations
  • A proactive approach to performing routine administrative activities with accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient underwriting processes. You will work closely with our Underwriting Director to produce quotes for clients and other and other stakeholders to support daily operations and procure accounts for Spectrum. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering information required to produce underwriting rates for clients, initially under the supervision of the Underwriting Director, and ultimately on your own
  • Produce reports in excel on the likely performance on a scheme using parameters given
  • Following written instructions to assist in evaluating insurance applications and policies.
  • Maintaining records of financial transactions and underwriting decisions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Using office systems to manage data, generate reports, and support the underwriting team.
  • Performing routine office activities to help maintain an organised and efficient work environment.
