About The role The Lynx Specialty Underwriting Intern will work alongside a diverse team, to assist and support the Underwriting team. What You'll Do Receive training to assist in the underwriting of property insurance. Review and analyze reports to make informed underwriting recommendations. Support underwriters with coordinating and processing polices. Participate on special projects, as assigned. Required Qualifications A current student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Risk Management & Insurance, or a similar field. Two years of course work completed towards a degree (Junior or Senior) would be preferred. Minimum GPA to apply is a 3.0 on a scale of 4.0. Must be in the same geographic location as the job (Cincinnati, OH) or willing to relocate yourself. This is NOT a remote position. Skills Exhibits exceptional verbal, written and interactive communication skills. Demonstrates effective research tactics and organizational skills. Demonstrates agility in a professional and effective manner. Initiative for problem-solving and taking action to drive results. Ability to convey a positive and professional presence with all stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Open to feedback and self-development. Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality This is NOT a remote position. You must live in the United States (Cincinnati, OH area) and be authorized to work in the United States without requirement of employment sponsorship/visa.
