Apply today and let’s do great things together! Job Description Longbridge is looking for our next Underwriting Team Lead. The ideal candidate will possess the following: Accurately evaluate and underwrite HECM and/or Proprietary reverse mortgage loan files submitted by retail and wholesale production channels, in accordance with company policy and FHA HECM and Platinum program guidelines. Primary Job Duties: Supervise a team of underwriters and monitor team performance for the review and decisioning of Reverse Mortgage loans Conduct second level reviews Assist as needed to resolve escalation questions Assist in hiring and training underwriters Collaborate with underwriters, processors, sales, and external brokers to assist with structuring Reverse transactions Review underwriting decisions and conditions, and may underwrite loans as needed Have a thorough knowledge of HECM and/or Proprietary Reverse underwriting guidelines and constantly staying on top of any changes Work closely with Underwriting Management to implement plans, improve consistency, efficiency, and shorten turn times. Qualifications Required Experience: 5+ years of recent HECM and/or Proprietary mortgage underwriting experience DE Certification required Ability and desire to lead and mentor a team Ability to prioritize and make quick decisions Able to maintain a positive attitude and be productive when under pressure and under tight deadlines Proven ability to interpret and communicate regulatory guidance Strong attention to detail, superior analytical skills, data driven mentality Excellent customer service skills including both verbal and written communication Additional Information Working in a growing and dynamic industry Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA, and wide array of voluntary products and discounts 401(k) with company match Paid time off This is an exempt role Target base salary range is 115-125K which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive additional compensation program via monthly production bonus that is based on individual performance.
