Description This position will be responsible for assisting the underwriter in all facets of the risk review and issuance process as well as processing transactions which occur throughout the life of an insurance policy. The Underwriting Technical Assistant will also provide support to the Operations/ Customer Service call center as necessary. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Under limited supervision and guidance this candidate will provide clerical support to the Underwriter. Complete vehicle filings, preparing notices of cancellation / reinstatements, and running MVRs. Process, Rate and Issue Fleet/Non-fleet Accounts including quoting within approved authority Process Endorsements. Loss Summary Reviews. Handle Follow-up request. Provide Customer Service to internal/external customers. Pre-Screen Renewals 90 days prior to policy expiration. Fills in for other team members including Customer Service to ensure business continuity during peak periods and/or when team members are unavailable. Assist with testing (as necessary) on cross-functional teams such as Underwriting, Operations, Accounting, IT). Additional duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of two years’ experience in the insurance industry. Highly motivated, strong interpersonal skills. Commitment to accuracy and high level of attention-to-detail. Metrics oriented. Strong organization skills and commitment to efficiency. Superior communication skills, including verbal and written. Computer proficiency with knowledge of the Microsoft Office products. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
