ABOUT US
The University of Cambridge is one of the world’s leading academic institutions, renowned for its excellence in education, research, and innovation. For nearly 800 years, we’ve been at the forefront of ground breaking discoveries, shaping global knowledge across diverse fields. With 31 Colleges, over 150 faculties and departments, and a thriving ecosystem of museums, libraries, and research centres.
Within the Faculty of Education, our Primary PGCE programme recruits around 80 students per year and aims to equip them with world-class teaching tools for early primary or primary aged children.
We are now looking for a Teaching Associate to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. We are also open to applicants who would like to apply to the position on a part time basis.
As a Teaching Associate, you will deliver high-quality teacher education within the Early Primary PGCE programme, contributing to its development, teaching, and overall student experience.
Specifically, you will take the lead in the Early Primary Route, as well as getting involved in aspects of admission, assessment and examination.
Leading several key components of the course, you will focus on the design, delivery, and assessment of lectures, seminars, workshops, and school-based tasks.
You will provide academic and pastoral support to students across all course elements, while also contributing to training sessions by offering guidance to mentors in early years settings.
