Unified Communication Engineer (Warsaw, 70% remote) – EU Public Organisations Profile: Unified Communication Engineer (Exchange Administration, MS Teams Administration, Skype for Business Administration, M365 Administration). Security Clearance: Is required (valid from the first day of assignment) - RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED. Place of performance: Frontex Headquarters in Warsaw. 30% onsite + 70% remote. Candidates must be based within two hours of Warsaw. Duration of the mission: 48 months. Minimum level of education: Level 6. Minimum English language skills (CEFR): B2. Minimum IT relevant professional experience (years): 5 years. Minimum experience at similar position (years): 3 years in relevant IT roles. Rate: 312 – 320€/day (NWH); 405 - 416€/day (EWH); 7,50€/hour OnCall Duties. • Expected NWH: 210 days x 4 years. • Expected EWH: 18 days x 4 years. • Expected OnC: 2096h x 4 years. Award Criteria: 35% Price / 65% Quality. Minimum required scoring for interview (%): 60%. Required certificates • Not required, unless indicated as specific requirements below. Knowledge and skills Specific expertise: • Excellent practical knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server technology including Exchange Hybrid. • Experience in administration of complex Exchange topologies deployed in distributed environments. • Practical experience administering Microsoft Skype for Business Server. • Expertise in optimizing, tuning, and capacity planning of Exchange Server. • Experience in optimizing, tuning, and capacity planning of Skype for Business Server. • Practical experience administering communication features of Microsoft Teams. • Experience in Exchange patch management. • Experience in Skype for Business patch management. • Expertise in analysing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. • Basic knowledge in administering other Microsoft systems. Skills: • Proactive attitude with strong teamwork spirit and user-oriented mindset. • Ability to adapt to fast-changing technologies. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical and business concepts to multiple audiences. Specific requirements • Practical experience managing Connex/Dencrypt communication platform. • Practical experience administering desk sharing, group calendar, and room panel applications (e.g. TimeFlex). • Advanced proficiency in writing and maintaining scripts using Microsoft Teams PowerShell module and Exchange Online PowerShell. • Experience automating bulk user provisioning, license assignment, and repetitive configuration audits across M365 and on-premises environments. • Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API for advanced reporting and cross-platform automation. • Experience working in restricted environments. • Hands-on experience working with Active Directory tiering model. Typical tasks and responsibilities Unified communication platforms administration: • Administration of Microsoft Exchange Servers. • Administration of Skype for Business Servers. • Administration of Exchange Online service. • Administration of Microsoft Teams service, including Teams Phone. Support and operations: • Acting as 2nd line of support across production, testing, and development environments. • Troubleshooting incidents and problems, updating ticketing system in a timely manner. • Liaising with other administrators to harmonize solutions and processes. Architecture and development support: • Architecting long-term changes to unified communication platforms. • Contributing to specifications for solutions based on or integrated with unified communication platforms. • Collaborating with development teams to align topologies and configurations according to project needs. Documentation and reporting: • Maintaining system documentation. • Participating in the development of documentation for new solutions. • Reporting on activities. • Other specific duties as assigned by supervisor. Travel: By default, travelling in the interest of service is not foreseen for this position/profile. · Nevertheless, Frontex may exceptionally request to carry out some services at other locations than Frontex Headquarters or other Contracting Authority’s premises.
Responsibilities
