Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Under the general direction of the Assistant Manager – Housekeeping and Executive Housekeeper, and in accordance with established Rixos Hotel Policies and Procedures, the Housekeeping Uniform Attendant is responsible for the distribution, collection, cleaning coordination, and maintenance of employee uniforms. The role ensures that all uniforms are clean, well-maintained, properly stored, and readily available to support smooth hotel operations and professional appearance standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Uniform Management & Operations Distribute clean uniforms to employees and collect used uniforms for laundering in a timely and accurate manner. Inspect uniforms for stains, damage, or wear and arrange repairs or replacements when required. Maintain accurate and well-organized uniform inventory records, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times. Coordinate closely with the Laundry team to ensure uniforms are cleaned, pressed, and returned promptly. Assist new employees with uniform fittings, sizing, and necessary alterations. Ensure proper handling of lost or damaged uniforms, including documentation and coordination with HR and Housekeeping management. Uniform Room & Equipment Control Keep the uniform room clean, organized, secure, and compliant with hotel storage standards. Ensure cleanliness, safe usage, and basic maintenance of sewing machines and related equipment. Immediately report any defect or damage to furniture or equipment in the uniform room to the Linen & Uniform Room Supervisor or management. Communication & Coordination Attend daily Housekeeping line-up briefings and departmental communication meetings. Coordinate with all departments based on operational and staffing needs. Inform concerned department heads promptly if any uniform-related matter is delayed or unresolved. Ensure proper handover of information between shifts for seamless operations. Compliance, Hygiene & Safety Adhere strictly to Rixos policies, procedures, SOPs, and local labor regulations. Comply with the ISO Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001, 22000, 10002), including Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, Food Safety, Risk Management, and Customer Complaint Handling. Follow all Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety policies related to uniform handling and storage. Actively support sustainability initiatives such as energy and water conservation and waste reduction. OTHER DUTIES Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag, maintaining high standards of personal grooming and hygiene. Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times. Maintain positive and respectful working relationships with colleagues and other departments. Stay informed of daily operational updates, including the “Talk of the Walk”. Demonstrate flexibility by undertaking other reasonable duties within job capability, including redeployment if required to meet business needs. Attend training sessions and meetings as scheduled. Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by the Supervisor or Management. Qualifications Certificate or vocational training in Hospitality or Housekeeping is an advantage. Previous experience in a similar role within a 4–5 star hotel or resort is preferred. Basic knowledge of uniform handling, inventory control, and garment care.
