QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with PLM systems and Tech Pack creation. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for sketches and presentations, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with various departments (production, tech, art, sales) and customers.
  • Customer Service: A customer-focused mindset with professional experience in client-facing communication and support.
  • Apparel Knowledge (Plus): Basic knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, silhouettes, colorways, sewing techniques, and fabrications is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • Experience: 2-4 years experience in the fashion/apparel industry ie: product development, production coordination or technical design
Responsibilities
  • Proposals and Pricing: Create proposals and price quotes for uniforms and private label products.
  • Technical Design & Communication: Develop Tech Packs in PLM and communicate information to the production department and factories.
  • Costing and Production: Initiate and coordinate cost requests for new styles, working with the tech and production teams. Coordinate printing production with the fabric and art teams.
  • Sample and Style Management: Create new style and sample requests in PLM. Maintain and update customer style information.
  • Customer-Owned Fabric: Create fabric pro forms, monitor fabric inventory, and calculate garment yields to estimate the number of shirts that can be produced.
  • Fittings: Assist with uniform fittings and maintain detailed fit records.
  • Grading: Facilitate grading requests and changes with the production department.
  • Inventory and Order Management: Monitor and manage uniform inventory, including finished goods, fabric, and samples. Generate and monitor customer sales orders and assist with data accumulation for production orders.
  • Customer and Interdepartmental Communication: Provide product information and support to customers, and communicate with other departments to ensure timely production, invoicing, and shipping.
  • Presentations: Develop visual presentations for uniform programs and trade shows using tools like PowerPoint.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance internal processes and build strong relationships with other departments to improve efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.
