St James’ Primary School, Muswellbrook is looking for a Uniform Officer to coordinate the school uniform shop for 6 hours per week, starting in January 2026. This is a great opportunity to support students and families while playing an important role in the day-to-day life of our school.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position of School Officer – Uniform Shop is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the school uniform shop. The position requires the ability to maintain a cooperative working environment and provide a friendly, customer-focused service to students and parents within the school community.

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including a pleasant phone manner and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, to be a flexible team player and to work cooperatively and collaboratively
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage several tasks concurrently
  • Ability to foster and promote positive personal relationships with all stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
